WordPress MU

bit worried after what happened.
I've been working for several month on with wordpress on a localhost machine without problem.
Two days ago I decided to install WPMU.
Things were quite okay (mod overwrite installed, some crazy CHMOD)
Yesterday the ' drop database ' function was desactivated suddenly from my phpAdmin interface.
Today MySQL return a ' #2002 - Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2) '

Is it possible, for any reason, that WPMU turn on some security trigger from MySQL server ?

It never happened before and the only different stuff I made since was this WPMU install.

okay, problem solved by reinstalling the whole stuff !
Was WPMU a cause as I supposed or should I shut my know-nothin' mouth ?

I seriously doubt wpmu caused the problem. Check your logs and you should be able to tell what really happened. If it does turn out to be wpmu please post back so we can get the problem resolved.
