    Eaarrrnnnnnnnnhaaarrrrrrrrrrdt!!!!!!!!

    Woot!

He he he... C'mon Doc, being in Charlotte, you should "love" my site.
Nothing like seeing a great big Nascar tag. :D

Look at it this way, think about how diverse a site this is creating. ;)

stupid question here as i've only had a working feed plugin for a few days... are tags included in the feed? how are you getting the tags?

  5. drmike

The tags/ categories are in the feed.

    It uses categories as "tags".

So if you categorize a post, or tag it as the case may be, it shows through in the code of the feed.

Then when importing the feed, it reads those, and either adds the cat or adds it to the existing cat.

    heh heh heh

Just realized that a selling point of all this is a free additional blog link picked up by technorati. :)

You mean my witty Nascar humor isn't a good enough selling point? :D

C'mon, I compared Tony Stewart to Dave Chappelle. Last summer it was Danica Patrick to George Shinn. Man, you can't pay for that kind of off the wall analogy. He he he.

@luna/Doc, so if i wanted to create a feed with just tags - the guts of this plugin might show me how?

Um, can you elaborate on a tag feed, and what good it would be without post information that produced the tags? Maybe I'm thinking along the wrong lines or something.

i guess i'm asking what ya'll're using to display the tags. i may wanna use this functionality on a different forum some of my users frequent.

So you would like a list of "tags" from your MU available to another forum?

If I'm reading correctly, then yes that could be made possible.

Or are you referring to being able to have a list of tags from mutags.net on your forum?

    "mutags.net "

okay, I totally missed the point where that's what you picked. :D MIKE! Add homeschooljournal.net, pls.
Also, I noted some SQL errors all over the page.

Farms, the uniblogs feed is returning a timeout error and I think it's haveing an issue with the other one as well.

Andrea, what's the sitewide feed address?

edit: Never mind Andrea. I got it and it's in there.

The SQL errors are from that french feed. The single quotes are throwing stuff off.

Fixed the issue with the french feed.

Anyone know what the html code for 'é' would be?

I do note that you guys and gals can't get your clients to use categories any more than I can get mine. :)

All those posts marked "Uncategorized." Seems like no one really uses catgeories.

Kind of shooting yourself in the foot if you ask me since using them is a great way to get your blogs better listed in the search engines.

    Yes, it is.

I can proudly say you won't see a post from me marked as such. :D

(OK, I cheated and renamed it!)

You'll not that you won't see the uncategorized tag on the front page of daria.be.

Gotta admit though that it seems like those few bloggers that I do have, only one of them use the category tag. The rest do not.

Heh, I know users that can't use post titles, let alone categories. lol

Never could understand that. We have users over in wp.com who are "I've got to fill in every field to make it work, right?"

You don't have to use catgeories. nothing stopping you. Nothing stopping you from eating either.

I've asked staff a couple of times what they do with Uncatgeoriezed since that is missing from their tag system as well but never got an answer.

Farms, I'm still getting an error from your first one and a timeout on your second one?

Anyone care to write an 'about' for the project?

    Anyone else?

I need to throw up a stats program in there to see how it's doing.
