For an unknown reason the trackbacks on our mu install are not being sent or being delayed for hours. (this is a new thing, it worked fine in the past)
Any ideas?

Would that get recorded in the error logs? I don't think fopen gets passed to the webserver.

server tweaking? space-time warp? Dunno man, we need more to go on. :D

Nothing in the logs.
We started to use Spambam some time ago (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/spambam/) which is great but as far as know it does not effect trackbacks. Also trackbacks that are sent to outside blogs are delayed.
No other changes were made that I know of.
