where can i find information on Mu's multi-site options? what does it do, how does it work, etc. i'm interested in the difference between subdir and subdomains and how a site using both might work. my install is subdir, but i may start selling/giving my users their blogs. i just went thru a subdir to domain move with another software (vanilla) and it was pretty easy. i'm interested in how i might do this with Mu or how i can use the multi-site option to facilitate this functionality.

Posted 16 years ago #Basically, you can install (put) each instance of WP MU in its own directory, its own database, and its own admin. Simply follow the installation instructions for each instance (in each separate directory).

Trying to use both subdomains and subdirectories is what's going to mess you up as you have to start specifically what you're doing during setup.
If you deside one over the other, the domain mapping we've discussed earlier is what I would use for multisites.
