i found a way to do it but i get all post. my users don't like to use -more- tag.

How to show recent post for example first 200 characters?

check wpmudev. there's a list-all plugin. it'll do the recent post thing and give you the option of how many word, etc. i think there may be beter solutions, but this works for me. check my page, at the top right. if this is what you want, i did that with the list-all plugin.
