I may have missed it: was there ever a solution to the 404's generated by IE? I have wordpressmu installed, cancreate blogs, can adjust, alter, etc, but am still getting the 404 error in IEwhen a user tries to create a new blog. Thanks in advance - I may just be burnt on searching for the answer and not keying search terms in right, but as near as I can figure there wasn't a fix for this, which I am finding hard to believe! Point me in the direction of the fix, if you know of one, please, and I shall be ever greatful.

First I've heard of it. Care to give some details like about your setup and all that? Are you sure both wildcards are in place? How about some links?

I am using subdirectories, not subdomains. as I said, I can create blogs, they are usable, the home blog is fine, its just the link to wp-signup.php that goes wonky out of ie. I thought it was just me till I found the thread above
I've set up about 20 wordpress installs, never a problem at all, but I know that MU is different.

Well is wp-signup.php there? Is it readable by the webserver? Anything in the error logs? Details about your environment.

Is it just for this blog or the others? (I don't see any list of blogs that you've created so I can't test)

And there's a fix in that thread with php5. Have you tried it?

Hi DrMike. Yes, it is there. It is readable, if you use Netscape, Firefox, no problemo, everything works fine.

Yes, but nada. I am not on PHP5 but I tried it anyhow.

Hi DrMike: Any suggestions? Did the other thread make any sense? Am I just a complete idiot?

Ok, trying one more time: DrMike have you given up on me, is this unsolvable, or should I go looking somewhere else for help? I don't mean to be a pest, but I'd like to know if it's a valid issue that cannot be solved, or if Im just missing some crucial post or step in this that will make it magically go away.

    Tks.
