I just noticed a new blogger has picked an edublogs theme whose footer says:
Provided by Edublogs Premium - Blogs for education, powered by WordPress & designed by Ben Gillbanks.
can I edit this out? I mean the edublogs part,... to be honest I don't even remember where that theme came from...
i've noticed that theme builders are now sticking meta tags in the headers of their tags so that their themes can be tracked. they dont say anywhere that you have have to leave the tags intact. i generally leave footers alone, until they have some ridiculously long note. then i just comment them out.
Ovidiu, the theme you are using is likely part of the package distributed by Farms/James, who is the administrator of the Edublogs website.
You for sure can edit it out.
well, I usually do the same, but the edublog themes are edited and adapted by farms, so if this is his requirement I'll respect it, I did just not find any hint regarding this in the forum...
Heck, I'd encourage you to edit it out - it's very clumsy :)
Besides which, the themes are all GPL so I don't think anyone would have the right to make an edit and then insist on a new license (but I could be wrong there).
And besides, that'd just make me an a-hole, wouldn't it!
It's just a little link sweetness to make up for hours of fiddling with themes :)
Cheers, James
ok thx.
besides, I am not the type of guy to find out under what license which theme has been released and arguing - if you'd insisted I'd rather edited those themes from scratch myself - so thx for the great theme pack although I have personally tested just a few as I am running short of time right now...

Which is different from normal, how? ;)
I think I might use a couple and replace the link text to say: "This guy drinks Fosters".
i changed mine to 'this guy drinks Olde English 800'

Same difference. LOL
They're both just like making love in a canoe.
hehehe, I love forums where John Cleese is quoted :)
Thanks for the work on the themes, Farms!

Yep. Heck James... Why not just go to Natural Light or Keystone? :P
I remember selling Natural Light 2 for a buck out of an icebin in a convenience store back in the early nineties....
