WordPress MU

Hi all,

Having a problem with my Mu installation. I've imported users from another Wordpress installation (standard, not Mu). These users have spaces in the name (ie Joel Falconer instead of joelfalconer). However, when an attempt is made to log in under these accounts, it claims the password is incorrect. I have checked to make sure this is not the case by changing the password in the admin section.

Is there any way to fix this or make Mu work with spaced usernames the way standard WordPress does?

Delete the users, search the exported file removing the spaces and reimport?

Gotta remember that the username is also the subdomains for teh blogs and a space is not an allowed character within a domain name.

Thanks. Assuming there is no way to keep usernames and blog directories different, I'll stick with the rules :)

I'm, no there isn't.

Especially since only 1 of those really exist. That being the username. Everything else could be looked at as being like a permalink. It doesn't really exist.
