    Hi,
To enable subdomains like blog.example.com I did both
    1. Added wildcard *.example.com.
    2. Modified httpd.conf to incluse ServerAlias *.example.com

    Now when I go to
http://blog1.example.com for an existing blog1, I get an error "Server no found".
    When I go
    http://www.blog1.example.com
    it works

    When I go to
    http://blog2.example.com for a non-existing blog2,
    I get to
    http://example.com/wp-signup.php?new=blog2

Is there smth I can do to avoid having to type "www" before blog1.example.com?

    Thanks

What adress did you put in when you create your WpMU? Was it domainname.com or http://www.domainname.com

What is the internet address of your site? You should enter the shortest address possible. For example, use example.com instead of http://www.example.com...

Remember it? It comes when you install your wordpress MU :)

But, I suggest you to check your DNS if you have access to your WHM.

The actual domain you're having issues with would be helpful so we can see what is occuring with the DNS record if you're still having issues.
