WordPress MU

After upgrading to the new version of WordPress, I am having a very confusing issue with my blog. The title of the blogs shows up, as do the lines underneath the blog, however, instead of posting each entry, the following is repeated over and over in place of each entry:

Warning: preg_replace(): Empty regular expression in /home/logical/public_html/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 654

I'm sure that this is probably a very simple problem, but I'm not familiar enough with the scripting part of WordPress to know what I need to do to fix it. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated!!
