    Hi all,
I stumbled on this website http://www.bioneural.net/ and it has Featured Content. I tried to search the forum but could not find anything similar to it (I appreciate if someone come across link(s) and share them). What I want to do is to 'promote' any posts from any blogs to be 'Featured Articles'.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Um, maybe asking them how they do it would be a good first step?

Figured out how you want to choose these articles and how to base them would be a good second step.

Thanks. Just a couple follow up questions -
    1. if I create a "Featured" category as special category. Only posts under such cat will be posted on the main page, has anyone done that way?
    2. if 1. above workable, is there a widget that will allow a single category to be posted on home page?

Thanks again in advance for all the help.

You really should brush up on the template hierarchy, and the templates themselves. This would answer your second post.

i have tried the link too; nice informations but what i really liked is the photos section that they have there and which is on this page http://www.bioneural.net/photos/
i would really appreciate it if we could have something similar. we can creae our own gallery here with the help of image hosting sites like http://www.2and2.net believe me it is going to be very fun.

Further to the special category idea....

I've thought about allowing admins or power users ( to attempting to write a plugin) that ables the addition of system tags ( or machine tags or triple tags -- whatever they are called ) to existing posts which wouldn't be visible on the blog but could then be used in other ways.

It's an interesting idea and has some merit in education where teachers ( or students ) could add searchable meta data that is unseen by the readers.
