I tried to install muwordpress but I get a 500 error when I try to get to the blog. I'm not sure that I have mod_rewrie.c
I have mod_rewrite.so, so where do I get this .c file?

Posted 19 years ago #are you sure? Recompile apache with mod_rewrite again to be sure.

Isn't mod_rewrite.c the source file and hence you wouldn't have it unless you built from source? What does a phpinfo say about the installed Apache modules?

I didn't build from source
and phpinfo doesn't mention mod_rewrite.
Is there any way for me to get a copy of it?
