    Hi.
I have set up my blog hosting site using MU and its almost ready to be released to the public. However I can not do it because of a big problem.
My server doesn't allow me to send more than 10 emails per hours. I tried using the SMTP plugin but it doesn't work, I gues also from my server...
So the only solution would be removing the user confirmation.
I searched for a plugin for this but I couldn't find any so guys please help me.

If there is any plugin please let me know, if not if I change in code and set the insert in the database to put value 1 to the active field in wp_signups as default and after show the password for the user in page instead of sending mail.

    Thanks

For a plugin - not that I'm aware of. You would probably have to rewrite a good chunck of hte wp-includes/wpmu-functions.php file. The removal of the confirmation email has been discussed before but I've not figured out a method. To be honest, I see that as basic protection against spammers.

Gotta admit that I would be looking for a new host. While I can understand putting in a limit, 10 is way too low in any case. Do note also that you've just asked us how to circumvent your host's AUP policies and, if they find out, they would be within their rights to remove your account. Do you want that handing over your head? (Not that I'm going to tell them.)

If they limit that, they're probably also have it written into their AUP that you can't "sublease" out your space. May want to check that out as well. Most shared hosting accounts are like that.

Also remember that you;re going to have issues with those folks who have their blogs setup to get emails when a comment is left. That'll eat into your ten.

Why not get a gmail account, and use their outgoing SMTP instead?

I can't "believe" a host would only let someone send 10 emails an hour, unless they were pretty shady.

When replying to emails each morning I easily send more than 10 emails an hour. I'd definetely look for a new host.

    Thanks,
    Andrew

I talked with my host and it raised my limit to 150 mails per hour. I think that would be enough for now.
