hi sorry to ask a realy stupid question, but where do i edit the widgets since they got included into WP?

im not talking about the editor inside the admin panel, im talking about php files.

specifically im trying to edit the Meta widget.

You've probably found it by now: wp-includes/widgets.php

Sounds like you need a better text editor for editing code. Something you can drop a folder 'o files onto and search all at once.

It's all about the grep. :D

Well it did get moved recently. Granted though it is named widgets.php....
