I don't know if anyone else notice this problem, but whenever a blogger leaves a link in a comment then it is shortened by Wordpress the same way it is done in posts.
While the shortened link points to the correct site in the case of posts, it does not do so in the case of comments.
In other words "http://www.yamusta...alibalhabibrahma.htm/" is what is seen by the user and it points to "http://www.yamusta...alibalhabibrahma.htm/" also.
obviously this results in a lot of broken links by frustrated commenters. Any fixes out there for this?
Don't mean to bump, but is no one else experiencing this problem?

Nope, sorry. I haven't noticed this yet.
Actually I was wondering where the shortened links were coming from. I don't remember wp or mu doing this.
hmm...I know I installed the mightylinker plugin, maybe I'll check into that and see if it's causing some finangling.
I shall diligently report back with my findings.
I can confirm this plugin is the culprit: http://mightyhitter.com/main-page/plugins/mightylinker/
Are any of you using a link-shortening plugin? I installed this one because I wanted to catch those times where people forget the "http://" and also those times where long links left in comments broke the page formatting.
