Ok well I would like to take some fuctions of the blog and use them in my site instead of having a one site blog.

the main site is here: http://www.oakhillbible.com/test/
and the blog is here: http://www.oakhillbible.com/test/blog/

I would like the log in functions to display on the side bar, and the blog function to show the most recent blog post on the front page. Then on its own page in the site:
    http://www.oakhillbible.com/test/blog.php
I would like it to display the blog with the blog posts and the date title and that good stuff, and the option to comment the blog as well.

Well I don't want to overload anymore than I already have. I've spent around and hour trying to figure out how to use the

but I figured I can ask and someone who knows this stuff can tell me what command to put where.

here is a short run down.

I have a sidebar.php page that is included in all pages.

I need to place the login option /register option into that page so its shown on every page, I need the command for that.

Next I need all the commands I would normally need to display a normal blog:

Title, Date, Author, TEXXT, option to comment.
Then under it next blog, and so on.

Read the template files or hire someone to do it. This is pretty basic stuff, so you have to figure it out or pay someone.

But it's all in the default template there.

well..if it's simple that's why I'm asking it here and not paying someone Andrea :D

if you know what they are, please do tell. Also would the php index file need to be in the same directory as the blog files to be able to call the function?

I'm not sure I understand what you are trying to do. When I look at your site, it looks like you are using WP as your Church website. That's great...lots of people do that, but if you are not intending to offer blogs for other people on your site, then you really don't need MU...a normal WP install would do you much better and you can find plugins to do just about everything you want to do.

So, my first question...do you really want/need MU or would WP better suit your needs?

    I didn't even know what I downloaded actually :D
thx, well I will switch soon and get back to this. ^^

also if I can make it a little more clear, I just want to "inject" the blog into my main site. pretty much take the commands to call certain functions and put them on my page.

It doesn't sound like you are needing a multi-user install. You probably should be using "regular" WordPress for this purpose. Be sure to download and install that, then search the forums and ask questions over at: http://wordpress.org/

    Good luck.
