PLUGIN IDEA: LDAP & AD group based role assignment (3 posts)

    I've been playing with the various LDAP plugins for WPMU and would love to be able to authenticate via LDAP and make a decision about whether or not to create a blog or just make a user a subscriber via group membership in AD. Has anyone else had a need for a modification such as this? Anyone want to help?

    I would be basing it off of the already working LDAP plugin.

    This is something I am direly in need of; I don't know much php to help, but I can certainly try to help (testing and whatnot) if you're still interested in this.

    I would be very interested in something of the sort. I've been using a great LDAP plugin but group based roles would be a very nice addition.

    I'd be happy to help in anyway I can. My PHP skills are not great, but Im pretty good at debugging.
