WordPress MU

I am trying to make my WPMU install as dead-simple as possible. To do that I think I would like to hide almost all the features available in wp-admin, and instead create my own seperate 'mini-admin' area on the site that is themed like the rest of my site.

I was wondering if anyone has accomplished this, or if anyone has words of caution for this endeavor.

seems like something that should have been figured out by now...

you can edit the index.php in the wp-admin folder to change the menus
