Swift_Smtp Problem / Question? (4 posts)

    Hi guys,

First of all, I am getting quite good at getting my way around wordpress (mu). So thanks :)

    Secondly,

I installed the Swift_SMTP plug in so that we can use gmail as our outgoing server.

however, I have noticed that each individual blogger can adjust the plugin settings for his own use.

We just need a way for the plugin to override the default mailer in wordpress-mu, and not be something which is configurable PER blog - just a global change.

Any way to easily do this? Right now, we have it installed in the plugins folder, should it go in the mu-plugins folder instead?

Did you grab the SMTP plugin from wpmudev.org?

I don't "think" it has individual user settings, but I guess it's possible.

If so, just wrap stuff you don't want a user to access in an is_site_admin tag.

Should I put in the mu-plugins folder?

If its in the regular plugins folder, it is per user setting...

if its in the mu-plugins folder, it does not show up anywhere?
