eaccelerator versus xcache versus apc (3 posts)

At the risk of inciting a flamewar, I was curious if anyone had some recommendations concerning a php accelerator when it comes to wordpress mu. I currently run the most recent eaccelerator, but there are some old posts here concerning some potential problems between it and wordpress mu. This seems odd, since it sounds from Donncha's blog as if he's running eaccelerator, so I would take for granted that eaccelerator is a good choice for a server running mu.

I'm running the latest build of eaccelerator. It doesn't seem to be causing and problems and doesn't break some other stuff I have running which apc did (Myphpadmin for one)

I've turned off the Zend accelerator as ea seems to be much better

It pretty much comes down to personal preference between the two.

Sometimes one will work flawlessly and one won't, or the other way round.

One big thing with MU is making sure you add kses.php to the ignore list for either caching program you use.

There's a few other files for other programs that you may need to do as well. If I remember right, there was one for phpBB as well, but since I won't touch phpBB it isn't an issue for me.

Some of the boxes I have have APC, some eaccel. they both are doing the job, so I haven't worried about it too much.
