I've had some spam bots attack my website, so I thought making a prospective user have to activate the account via e-mail might help.
However, I can't find the option anywhere in WordpressMU to do this --- could someone please point me in the direction of where it is?
Thanks in advance. :)

When a new user creates a blog on your site they should be required to activate it via email by default.

Hmm...if so, then those spambots are smart enough to activate them via e-mail then. That sucks.
Do you know if there's a plugin for admin activation of an account?
You can create blogs and users from the admin panel. You will probably need to remove, rename or tweak, the wp-signup.php file in the root directory if you want to have a kind of "invitation only" site.
A simple tweak of a spam comment plug such as: http://www.wp-plugins-db.org/plugin/wp-comment-spam-stopper/
would probably work due to a real person having to type the correct answer in the question box.
Elsewhere on this forum I also remember seeing guidance on automatic emailing admin when a new blog is created, along with a tweak to avoid a new blog's posts appearing on the front page of your site.
I already have a "Question" plugin installed, which while it did cut down on the number of spam blogs, still didn't stop it. And I don't want to have an invitation-only blog.
I'll try looking for the admin e-mail/taking the blog off the recent list post. If you do happen to find it before me, feel free to post it. :)
