I've been playing with wpmu 1.2.5a, and just download 1.3rc3, and I'm having the same problem with both:
1) I add a new blog, say NEWS
2) I go to Site Admin -> Blogs and choose to edit NEWS
3) I set USERS CAN REGISTER to 1
Now when I go to mydomain.com/blog/news and click on register it will ask for username and password, so I enter a new username and a new password, and hit enter, but I get ERROR: WRONG USERNAME.
Am I missing something? Please help!
Users have to register on the main blog, then be added to a sub-blog. Also, I think it's better to tweak those options from the backend of the blog itself, in case you have the value wrong.
It seems like everytime I go to the Options Panel on the admin screen, I'm always in the main blog options, and I can't figure out how to access the options for the sub-blog any other way except by Edit Blog. But wait a second let me check something... okay, I'm back... I did not know what the BACKEND () link was for under Blogs, but now I understand!
