I've got something like 8 or 9 wordpress installations running on my server for different websites. I've got plans to add many more wordpress blogs soon. Would it be more logical for me to use WPMU instead of seperate wordpress installs? The only problem I can think of is that I use unique domain names for each blog and as far as I can see WPMU uses subdomains or subdirectories. What do you think I should do?

Unless you are really good with code or willing to learn, want to hack or fiddle with things and are willing to put in a few hours searching, then I'd just go with regualr seperate WP installs.
If you're getting up over a dozen or more blogs, then I'd consider it. And it depends on what you're doing too.

Posted 18 years ago #Yeah, I would keep seperate installs on seperate databases. While MU is good for multiple installs it is aimed at and better for hosting them for other people.
