Hi,
Freshh Installed v1.3 and the username/password email to admin has been recieved.
The problem is new users are not getting the activation email. Is this a sendmail or SMTP authentication issue?
(Domain http://b2i.biz - apache - linux - cpanel)
Questions:
Q1
If it is a SMTP issue will this plug in fix it for wp-mu v1.3? http://www.coffee2code.com/archives/2004/06/28/plugin-wpphpmailer/
Q2
What are the wp-mu v1.3 server email requirements will it work with php sendmail or does have to have SMTP authentication
Note: I have another wp-mu install v1.0 on the same server .. installed last year and its working.
Please help.
Thanks

FYI:
By the way the new blog accounts that are registered via the website do not show up in the wp admin panel user or blog list.
However when I do create a new blog/user account directly in the admin panel, the user does recieve a username and password.
Thanks

Unfortunely we can't tell you that as we don't have access to your server. Your best bet would be to check your email server's logs (both error and the main logs for the email server) and see what the issue is and if any error is produced. You may want to get with your host as well as they would be thte one who could tell you how PHP is actually sending the email.

One more thing...
when Admin registers new user/blog via admin panel Admin does get sent a new user and new blog registration emails.
So i assume the email functions are working for this wp-mu v1.3 install ??
thanks
