WordPress MU

I set up my wpmu initially on

http://blog.mydomain.com

It told me that I could not blog on this address because I told it to not use support for virtual hosts.

This is because i DON'T want my urls to look like:
http://blogname.blog.mydomain.com

Once installation was done the front page give the choice to Login or "Create a new Blog"

I created a new blog which now appears as
http://blog.mydomain.com/blogname

But now when i go back to the root http://blog.mydomain.com it no longer gives the login option but shows me a blog for the admin user it seems.

I can't find the link to register another blog anywhere.

Why did it suddenly decide to change it to a blog when I added a new user?

you can re-select it in the menu Presentation. It won't change again.

all i see in there is a Theme selection with various colour and font size options.

Found it.

I needed to find and enable the "WordPress MU Home Default 1.5" theme.

It was disabled for some reason.

You can enable in Site Admin->Themes menu.
