    Hello there,

    I want to change default timezone settings (as it is -8 now). I found thread (http://mu.wordpress.org/forums/topic.php?id=4034&page&replies=2)
    but there is no such a file as upgrade-schema.php in /wp-admin/.

    Does anybody know where can I change it? (The users still have to be able to change it to their own timezone).

    Thank you in advance.

    The file's been moved to wp-admin/includes/schema.php I believe.

    Sorry for asking more but there is (according to me) only one line that relates to this:

    275: add_option('gmt_offset', date('Z') / 3600);

    Does this really means that the timezone will be moved to -8?

    Thank you qza.
    James

    'Z' is the format character for timezone offset. So yes, that is the line you need to edit. Use the example qza provided in the other thread.

    Thanks,
    Andrew

    If you don't want to change core files you can use the WPMU new blog settings plugin.
