WYSIWYG and Image Uploader Disappeared (9 posts)

I don't know how this happened, but out of the blue tonight, I went to upload an image from the image uploader. I selected an image and then clicked ' open'. Instantly the entire image upload space disappeared.

I then went to try and upload the image online and then paste the url via the wysiwyg image editor. Well, when I went to try that, the WYSIWYG editor wasnt even there at all.

Has anyone had this happen? I haven't messed with any code on the site for a month or two so I don't understand how it can just happen out of nowhere.

    Please help.

Just f.y.i. I am using MU version 1.2.5

    Buggy javascript?
Have you tried logging in and out?
Checke dout another blog on the system to see if it does the same?
    Turning off plugins?
Did anything get updated on the server lately?

Have you tried turning off the RTE in your profile and then uploading an image?

I'm having the same issue. I have disabled all plugins, disabled RTE in my site admin user profile and logged in and out -- cleared the cache in my browser and still cannot get the visual text editor (RTE) to show in the write or manage tabs for posts or pages.

I even deleted everything in my root directory, deleted my database (it's a new MU I'm just setting up) and created a new database.

I cannot get the RTE to show up even with no plugins enabled.

    :(

I just solved mine. Well my host helped me do it. I have multiple sites on my server and my host found a tmp folder in the root folder with a bunch of image files in there that were taking up a ton of space. Neither of us know how they got there. It was very strange.

Anyway, I cleared everything out of that folder and it works perfect now. My host said for some reason large folders in the servers root can sometimes effect the way files are loaded on other sites. For some reason this was the case with my wordpress mu site.

Sooo relieved to have this over though! Just don't give up ever until you figure it out!
