Has anyone out there managed to get the theme-editor functional for this yet? We have people complaining because they can't edit their themes in this like they can in the regular WordPress.

Well, the problem with the themes and users editing them as it stands is that you'de be giving them access to the raw files and php, unless wpmu made a full switch over to smarty or someother system (unless they have and i haven't noticed...)

how about instead of having them edit the files, why not settings stored in the db for header image, fonts, colors, etc that can override the templates default?
