WordPress MU

Hello everybody,
I'm trying to make a blog hosting site. I've got WPMU set up, and it's working flawlessly. Now the only problem is i want to put a forum in there as well. I wanted to use phpbb3. I know there is the plugin from happypoet

that whould integrate wordpress & phpbb. but oddly enough i haven't found any info if it works with WPMU and if out of the box or with modifications or if it could work with phpbb3(i'm assuming that it's for phpbb2 because of the release dates for the plugin) has anyone tried it? and what did you have to do to get it working

Did anyone actually try it, and if so, what kind of errors did they get?

After trying different solutions for implementing the forum(phpbb2 phpbb3) and not succeeding to fully integrate features and login sessions i decided to go with the simple forum wordpress plugin

which is perfect for what i need and is close to releasing version 3 with some new features. Check it out!

Having written wphpbb, I can say that it will not work with wpmu and phpbb3 as it is. It shouldnt be too far of a stretch to manipulate the code, but I dont have time to work on it.
