I'm glad wpmu can now finally work as a true blog service.
I've just installed it, and anyone can now get a blog very easily.
The subdomain part is also working very nicely.
One question though: how can I get rid of the /wpmu part?
I want it to be: sub.example.com
    instead of: sub.example.com/wmpu/
If I install it in domain root directory, will the subs be used directly, without the /wpmu/ part?

With out without the "/" ???
    Like sub.domain.com
or it should be sub.domain.com/ ????
I hate that "/", and I think I should spend some time studying mod_rewrite

the created blog sites can reach without slash trail at the end. so far, the feed only necessary to end with slash trail at the end "http://name.domain.com/feed/"

    mv /public_html/wpmu/wp-inst /public_html
    update .htacccess
    update config
    update wpmu-setting
run upgrade script from admin panel
    clear cache folder if necessary
