I want to place user blogs not in their subdomains but in their directory. How can i do this?

you'll have to reinstall and make sure you choose the subDIRECTORY option.

andrea_r can you please answer my question? Its related to that thread so I'm posting here.

How can we change subdomains to directories on an existing mu install?

there's no easy way to do that, akeel.

you'll have to go through the entire database and change everything, and find where it saves the subdomain/subdirectory info. It's called VHOSTS and is either yes or no, or true or false. VHOSTS = subdomains. I am not sure where it is located. you'll probably also have to edit the config file too.

It would be a messy complicated job.

If it's an existing install, then all your links will change. If you have a small numbe rof blogs, I would probably just export each one of them from the backend, blow away everything and re-install with the right option. Then import the data into each blog.
