I am running MU 1.2.1 version. But I have problem with url rewrite . I would like to know how can I upgrade it to latest version and is there any fix for url rewrite? I never touched .htaccess but automatic servers control panel install breaks it very often.

Im planning to upgrade my install from 1.2.1 to 2.6.1. Is it safe to do, or do i have to upgrade some earlier version before 2.6.1?
Yes, i already read upgrading instructions, but there was no any help for this kind of upgrading.
So, what i have to do? Disable all plugings and overwrite all files + change my info to new wpconfig.php file, anything else?
Um, the upgrade instruction in the codex do say to upgrade in stages.
From that far back, you'll definitely have a few extras steps.
its not overly difficult to upgrade with older versions either. Its kinda like starting again with the same DB.
