Athough buddypress is still far away from release, I admit I really got a little disappointed about it after the first try, eapecially I saw it treats blog as secondary, and it seems every user must use the same blog theme then.
just my 2 cents, hope they would realize it and do some changes...
Did you read the mailing list?
- the blogs as secondary are only one option.
- there's currently only one theme available as they haven't made special theme tags you to plunk into other themes.
nobody's had time to showcase it another way, but it can be done.
I am sure BuddyPress will move mountains. It's just a matter of time.
Even with WordPress you can chose to show pages/stuff/profile @ first.
As andrea pointed out, it is just a matter of time, before we see how fancy BuddyPress can get.
I would try it out myself next week from their trunk if I get some time.
there were a bunch of changes in trac this morning.
I think Andy and the boys are taking great notice of whats being said here in these forums, so people shouldnt worry too bad

Pretty much, bwinn.
I don't understand what there is to be disappointed about.
Cut Andy some slack, and let the guy work. They've pretty much given an early access peek to what's going on, when they could have waited until it was much closer to being ready.
Not to mention that it's also been over hyped with rampant speculation by folks other than the guy who knows what it can (and eventually will) do.
Best thing you can do is be patient. Mountains aren't built in a day, you know.
Isn't it Rome wasn't built in a day?
I would love to see someone 'build' a mountain.
I can make one out of a molehill :D

not anymore noob, it is now the freshestnoob thread, what do you want to talk about?
we could talk about the weather.. I still have snow on the ground. I'll send it, cheap. free even.
can you make us some snow cones and send them our way andrea?
I think I could cater snow cones for a thousand.
Sounds like everyone is having a good day:)
