I started a food review on my site for Alaska restaurants.
I have since decided to upgrade to MU and allow others to blog about Alaska stuff.
I installed MU and am lost as what to do or what key searches to do to find the needed info.

I want to allow people to signup (I approve account)and away they go. I do not expect a lot of people nor do I want a lot of bloggers. Alaska only.
These are my problems:
1. I want to use subfolders...I am not sure if I did this right (not subdomains). In the admin controls it only shows subdomains.
2. Am I using the correct theme? How do people signup? Login? There is nothing on the index page for people to do this.
