Email Confirmation No Longer Required at Wordpress.com (3 posts)

    Recently I signed up for a wordpress.com blog and was not required to confirm my email.

    Currently I cannot remove the email confirmation requirement from MU and this doesn't seem to prevent spam blogs.

    Does any one have a hack which allows for the removal of email confirmation?

    You can build your own implementation of Signup that calls the wp_create_blog and other functions. This is very doable as a plugin.
