    I'm a WordPress MU newbie.
    I've two interesting question for WordPress experts.

    1. Can search bots specially Google read comments awaiting moderation.
    2. Can Search bots specially Google read themes those are not in use.

    Please explain in detail and in easy language.

    No, because they are not published yet. For the most part, if you can not see something on your site with your eyes, then neither can search bots.

    1. No, becasue they are only int he databse and not rendered (viewable) in a webpage yet.

    2. Yes, because those files are on the server. you can tell google to stay out of /wp-content/ though, which is a good practise.

    on andrea's #2, you would create a robots.txt that tells Googlebot and others where to go. here's an example:


    User-agent: Googlebot
    Disallow: /*/feed/$
    Disallow: /*/feed/rss/$
    Disallow: /*/trackback/$
    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /wp-
    Disallow: /feed/
    Disallow: /trackback/
    Disallow: /rss/
    Disallow: /comments/feed/
    Disallow: /page/
    Disallow: /date/
    Disallow: /comments/

    Just modify it to suit your directories, then upload the file to our webroot. Google has a checker over at their webmaster tools page to show you where Googlebot would look using the limits set in your file.
