Introducing Video Search Pop N Code Plugin

I've created a new wordpress plugin which allows you to ajax search for videos within the wordpress post editor. While writing a post, from your admin sidebar you can with no screen refresh:

    1. search for a video
    2. watch the videos in a pop up without screen refresh
    3. copy embed code
    4. close video pop up
    5. paste embed code into post
    6. the plugin will make sure the video code is formatted properly on publish

I've created a version for Mu of my new plugin I call 'Video Search Pop N Code Plugin'

This plugin has only been tested on Mu 1.5 RC1.

The main difference of Mu version is that the Google API key is set in the 'Site Admin' area and users can adjust their video border and view preferences as they prefer in the settings area.

Mu version can be downloaded from:

Here are details of use with screenshots:

It's GPL, pretty beta, with no warranties.

it's still not as easy as AMP, where we just need to copy-paste the url ...

Have you actually used the plugin Benjamin?

It's just as easy because all you do is copy and paste exactly where you want the video to go in your post.

Video Pop N Code creates this code for you which you copy and paste directly into your rich text editor.

    [youtube:http//youtubevideo...] etc

The code is at the bottom of the pop up window of the video you are watching in your editor.

I see that anarchy does have some extra media supported but in terms of embedding videos I think my system is just as easy. But with anarchy if you don't send to editor you still have to actually create the hyperlink where as this is one step that you don't have to do with video pop n code.
