I ask this question because I dont know what happened to mine :P
The last backup I have is 1.67GB, after that I deleted some tables that were created by a plugin and last night's backup came to 310MB. The plugin I deleted was a statistics one, wp-slimstats I believe.
Both files are ok, with the bottom line saying dump ended succesfully, etc. But 1.3gb difference after deleting a plugin? It was used by around 100 blogs in its defense :P So it was possibly full of referrer logs or something.
This is for a 2700 blogs community. How big is your database to compare? I'd like to see if mine's normal sized.
Also, how much is each blog supposed to take? I read somewhere that a default blog comes to 326kb, is that right?
