    Hi -

We're not showing the "kitchen sink" and other buttons as can be seen in WP 2.5.1 and in the blogs on wordpress.com. Our bloggers would like to be able to have the extra functions. I compared the tinymce plugins found in our WPMU installation to a standard WP installation, and they have the same stuff. Is there something I need to do to activate the extra functions in WPMU?

    Thanks!
    Beth

    What specificly are you seeing?

What version of wpmu are you using?

    What browser are you using?

    Anything in the error logs?

Hi - Thanks for the quick reply. The WPMU version is 1.5.1.

I'm using Safari and Firefox, but the bloggers are mostly using IE (various versions).

When they log in to blog, this is the toolbar they see in their editors (WPMU 1.5.1).

This is what I expected to see (from my own WP 2.5.1 blog)

I'm so embarrassed. I just realized that this post title says I have no "kitchen sick!" What I meant is "kitchen sink." Must have been subliminal, because I stayed home sick today.

Assuming you have tried hard refresh, do you have any plugins which add buttuns to the editor? if so, it is possible that they are not compatible with the new plugin integration.

There shouldn't be anything you need to do extra as the default look is the second photo you posted. Are you talking about http://healthblogs.org ? I use gmail so I can't see for myself if it works :)

Hi Trent, yes that's healthblogs. Good memory!

Mark, I disabled all of the pictured user's plugins.

unco, and have you done an hard refresh? my experience is that this phenomena is always associated with incompatible plugin, and I have no other ideas...

    Hi Mark,

I did do a hard refresh. I also installed WPMU on the same server and everything works ok there under a different domain name.

I've disabled all plugins as well. No-go still. I may have to delete everything (not the database) and do a completely fresh install and see what happens.

It's either that, or a can of gasoline and some matches...

Well, someone got rid of the mu admin bar and that fixed my troubles. All I have to do is make a couple of frantic posts here and somehow things work out. :)

This trouble is noticed in IE7 and Firefox version 2.0.0.14. Netscape renders correctly. :P

After removing the AMP plugin everything works correctly. =\
