I was about to change every instance of a post called "About" to "Guestbook", and make sure that comments were allowed on those pages. But I went into the sub-blog and there's no "Comment" link.
I checked, and comments are enabled for what is currently an "About" page, and you don't have to be registered and logged in to comment on the sub-blogs.
Am I missing something obvious?
A comment link in the template?

Yes, If the theme you are using doesn't have the comment code included in the page template then you won't see the comment form.
Some themes only have comment code for the posts (in index.php or single.php).
If you are feeling confident you could try copying the comment code across from one of those files to the page file.

Yeah, that's easy to do. See, I knew it was something obvious. Sorry I was just dumb enough to miss it.
