    Mimbo and Mu don't mix, bro. it takes a bit of work to get looking proper.

    @demonicume

    Why not? I'm using it and I think it's a cool theme for MU. I did have to rearrange some homepage elements, but I didn't notice any 'bigger' problems. You had different experience?

    For general use by users, no, it doesn't work out of the box. You have to tweak the crap out of it, and rewrite quite a bit.

    For a single blog, like the main one, it works OK once you set it up.

    Umph... than it's good/bad news. I'm using it for main blog and it's working fine so I thought to adjust it for my users also. I think I'll use http://lucianmarin.com/test/ for my users. Thanks lunabyte.

    There's too much crap that has to be hardcoded in that theme for general MU use.

    The only way around it is to code some custom backend theme option goodness, or some other way to get around all the stuff that you would normally hardcode in the theme.

    Maybe the biggest problem for users would be Mimbo homepage (posts page) cause it is typical 'magazine theme' home page. In my case, that's not really a problem cause my users won't have 'write post' option. They will only be able to write pages (creative work/porfolio pages). Recently I found this http://smoothgallery.jondesign.net and will try to incorporate it inside my home page but I know it won't be easy... for me. Cool themes already using this gallery:

    yup, just checked and it works fine! I am now working on customising it myself, as I did get anyone contact me at a reasonable cost.

    I do still have one main issue that I am about it give up on and that is SMTP auth for mail sending. I have been banging my head against a brick will for the last couple of days with it. trying every lugin possible, but still cant get the damn thing to work. So if anyone wants to offer a flat fee to sort it out for me drop me a mail :)
