WordPress MU

Hi all
This is just a short post as I have to rush out, but I thought I'd let you know that I've just released version 0.1 of Vent - and events system that uses Scheduled posts within WordPress.

It is fully WordPress MU compatible.

Sounds great. One question. What themes support Vent widgets? Great solution for concerts, exhibitions,...

Btw, what happened to StayPress? Abandoned or...?

The widgets are styled to fit in with as many themes as possible. I've tested with a few including Kubrick, Statement (which I run on my blog), etc... But the styles are easily changed.

The "Next Event" at the top of the blog is a standard post, which can be styled within the Vent system (one of the options), as a default it simply adds a "Next Event" Banner to the top right hand corner of that post.

StayPress is still in development. I have to do these extra little projects every now and then to keep me sane :)

Besides which, some prize money would be handy :)

But that's exactly what I was aiming at. You and WPMU Premium are first on my 'pay-to' list:) I'm waiting for your plugin and then I'll register at WPMUP so I can finish my project as soon as possible.

If you want to see the plugin functioning, then I have added an event post for WordCamp UK 2008 ton my blog.

If you pop over to http://blog.clearskys.net (before the 19th July) then you should see the Next Event post and the Upcoming events widget (on the right).
