WordPress MU

OK.

I started a completely new installation of WPMu 2.6 R.C.1 on a mediatemple (gs) account. The blogpeoria.com domain are now pointing at the appropriate nameservers.

I ran the installation script with the username, database, passwords, host name etc. I am using subdomains. It's mediatemple so the wildcard is enabled.

I clicked on the login link on the "installation successful" msg and got a login page devoid of the style sheets.

I tried to login, but immediately received the "page cannot be found" message.

The files and folders seem to be there.

I have not yet uploaded any files or databases from my previous installation.

Query: What should the permissions for the wp-config.php page be set to. It's NOT 755.

Apparently, the very act of posting on this forum caused the problem to self-correct.

I had to open the site in IE. It worked. Then I refreshed the pages in Flock. Came right up.

Tomorrow, I begin the process of uploading the files and databases.

Should I upload database first, then other files? or vice versa ...

Ummmmm .... where is Akismet in 2.6? Not already bundled?

Nope, Akisment isn't shipped with MU at all.
