    I just released my new plugin that allow WordpressMU generate a standard XML sitemap file like feed. The format are support most of search engine like google, yahoo, ask and etc. No file created just request when it need.

    It's also add your sitemap url into your robots.txt.

    The plugin generate xml sitemap for each blog and add the sitemap url into their own robots.txt. eg: http://mu.bloggles.info/sitemap.xml
    http://mu.bloggles.info/robots.txt

    I'll confirm it. This will eat resources all over the place with any modest traffic and number of posts.

    are sitemaps relevant anymore? doesn't google just crawl everything anyways?

    Pretty much. Although some people seem to think they have to have one. :-/

    Haven't tried it or read the code yet. I will though.

    Yeha, google crawls *almost* everything and when you have one blog owner who is antsy because post X didn't get crawled for whatever reason, then you have make the sacrificial offering to Google.
