edublogs.org homepage template for you to download (28 posts)

    Teach me to offer something and then leave my email address up ;) Am getting increasingly frequent requests for me to share the edublogs.org homepage as I offered a while back so here it is for you to download.

    It's basically Fauna hacked, using the static front page plugin and the imaginatively titled Snarfa page... for some reason I didn't think of using home.php (duh!) Anyway large descriptor - I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHAT I'M DOING WITH WEB DESIGN - but hopefully there'll be some useful code snippets in here for people to use.

    If other people wanted to share their wpmu homepages I don't imagine there would be many complaints :)

    Cheers, James

    w00t! James you're a star!!

    P.S. sorry if I contributed to the, er, blockage in your mail box ;-)

    Many thanks for the template; getting over the hurdle of how to set up a decent home page for the MU part of my site was a stumbling block... but ...LOL... I think I need to bring my page-hacking skills up to speed before I make 'yours' live on my site.

    Many thanks for the place to start!!

    Thanks for sharing your edublogs homepage with us. On which WPMU version is it based? I noticed that I had to rename snarfa.php to home.php to make the home page work.

    What are those .sbm files?

    Actually if you visit the wp.com forums and click on the CSS subforum at the bottom of the page, they have a couple of stickies about beginning css and links to tutorials.

    Hello, the theme has one error, is this possible? may be is for the upgrades to wpmu till the last theme version.

    This is my error:

    Warning: preg_grep() expects parameter 2 to be array, string given in myserver/wordpressmu/wp-content/themes/newedublogshomepage/themetoolkit.php on line 39

    And this is what i can find on line 39:

    foo/functions.php" running ?
    if ( $wp_version >= 2 and count(preg_grep('#^\.\./themes/[^/]+/functions.php$#', get_settings('active_plugins'))) > 0 )

    Is any solution?

    Thanks a lot!

    Ahem... this kinda was never supported and definitely isn't any more ;)

    One of these days I'll release a whitelabel WPMU frontpage theme :)

    Hi Farms, nice to know that you shared it with the community.

    I am (rather slowly) working on a WPMU home-page theme, but still need to work on "ada-recent-posts".

    It would be best if I could make use of WP's built in functions to get recent posts ( not only titles, but content/excerpt/custom fields/whatever ).

    Since I am not much of a programmer myself, its taking me a long time to get around things.

    Have a nice day

    It was their theme from a couple years ago, which is outdated, and wasn't maintained.

    Nothing left to upload anymore.

    Hi Guys... two years later on, and we've released the theme again, of course, there are some conditions, but you can now download the complete Edublogs homepage (fresh as of today) from here: http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/the-edublogs-homepage-theme

    Enjoy :)

    @Farms,

    I know your edublogs theme was developed specifically for an MU-powered blog, but in your opinion, are there any deal breakers for using it on a stand alone WP install?
