Hello, ok i have installed wordpress-mu as per instruction but have a user data path issue?
All images are being uploaded to
/hsphere/local/home/wwwuser/domain.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/1/files/2008/08
but wordpress is trying to load them from:
/hsphere/local/home/wwwuser/domain.com/files/2008/08/
Any ideas?

Hello, ok i believe this to do with my htaccess file, if turn it on i get error in logs:
.htaccess: RewriteBase: argument is not a valid URL
and site does not work. But if i disable it the site works fine but images paths do not work?
Any ideas?

Image paths do not work because you turned the htaccess file off. You need to fix that.
Did you let the install create the htaccess for you?
if not, that line needs to be
RewriteBase /

mod_rewrite is working fine on server it is just with wordpress-mu install that is not?
