I have some simple theme work (everyone says simple right?) where I want the /blog main page and full blog pages to follow our site theme (dont care about the admin stuff).

I dont want to learn how to modify themes or anything else, I just want to find a reliable consulant who will do some simple work reliably.

    Is there a consultants corner?

You can contact me directly at phil dot petree at gmail dot com

    Thanks,

    Phil

I thought I could do it all, until I visited your site. Looks like I am not the solution, but the one with the problem ;)
    Anyway: look at:
    Andrea's site and

I checked out Andrea's site but didn't find a consultants corner there... any other suggestions on finding a consultant?

    http://automattic.com/services/wordpress-consultants/

So basically, you want your main blog theme and user blog theme follow your site theme? Btw, why didn't you install your WPMU in root folder? Right now, your main blog's address looks like this: http://www.npdr.org/blogs/

In my opinion it should be http://www.npdr.org

I can also help when it comes to (re)designing themes for your blogs.

I'm sure someone will send you a reply, other than that check out incsub.com or put a post on jobs.wordpress.net

"I checked out Andrea's site but didn't find a consultants corner there."

Right up under the header, where it says Freelancers.

andrea - thanks for the link... I guess I had another beerheimers attack, didn't see the freelancers link... I contacted a couple of freelances, one was gonna get back to me and never did and the other swapped a few emails with me and I didn't hear back from him. I pinged him again this morning.

cafespin - thanks for that link, I'd rather give the money to the consultant than on paying to post an ad

boonkia - believe it or not, there is a method to the madness. I dont want the blogs to overrde the home page but I may, at some point, want to show the most current blogs on the home page. I couldnt find how to contact you so drop me a note when you can.

    Here's a recap:
I just installed wordpress at http://www.npdr.org, This is a free site that I sponsor out of my own pocket. Right now it gets about 20 users a day and at its peak it may hit 2000. The bloggers will be professionals (psychologist types - I have 2 committed - no pun but probably not more than 10) who will email their blogs in.

When a user clicks on the /blog page I want it to list the latest blogs with the most current listed first. When users click on the one they want to read they would transition to a new page, get that blog along with, hopefully, a small bloggers profile along with the bloggers photo. (only professionals I choose will be able to post blogs.)

Someone asked me if I have an avatar system installed so unless one came with wordpress, I do not.

From what I read I believe all that functionality exists in the core product so it should just be a matter of adding in my theme and a few hours work... but then if I knew for sure, I would do it myself! LOL
