i'ld like to allow subscriber to publish post on a certain blog of my installation (eg test.mublog.com)
actually i thought role-mager is what i need for that, but afetr installation, i modified the subscriber profile (all ok)... i got a subscriber account but i didn't find any way to get that work :(
why?

By default the minimum role required to publish a post is Author, and i'm not entirely sure role manager is compatible with WPMU.
ok, but with role-manager you can allow some more actions...
right, but what Mrbrian is trying to say is it might not work in MU.
Tyr the exact same thing on a single WP install and see if it works.
It works, but before You install it you should visit plugin's homepage and search for questions about this plugin. Also, Thomas (the plugin author) is really nice guy (and great programmer) and I'm sure he'll help with advice or two.
http://www.im-web-gefunden.de/wordpress-plugins/role-manager/
-------
An unsupported version of the role manager for wpmu:
http://role-manager.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/role-manager/
Infos about access are here in some words:
http://sourceforge.net/svn/?group_id=190527
IN AUTHORS WORDS:
But why is this version unsupported: The answer is easy: qulified wpmu-administrators for testing on "not live systems" are missing. Administrators with experiences on large installations are needed to providing more tests on their test-systems. This is the biggest problem.
If I may suggest, why don't you do it differently. Why does it have to be subscriber. It could be an author with reduced capabilities. Than you'll get a 'subscriber' who's able to write a post. Minor hack (or a plugin) could do it.
DISCLAIMER: This post was written by a designer (not a programmer) who sometimes only thinks that he knows what he's talking about. Chances to get a useful advice from him are are 50-50 (sometimes less).

Aw, boonie, you know we love ya anyway... ;) :*
no way... i think it because every blog has its own list of authors/admins/etc...
Well if you make a plugin it could be activated on per blog basis. But You know the best what you're after. Good luck. If I find some more useful info I'll post it here. Cheers.
eh eh ehh... i just installed the plugin on an old standard-wp and i'm not getting what i want :(
you can write and publish a post only if "Edit Posts" is on :-/ and with that you can also manage comments :(
can't I simply use plugin commander to activate role manager plugin for all blogs, using the role manager inside the plugins folder?
thus it would work like any normal plugin.
has anyone tested this?
You'd still have to tweak setting for each blog, though - unless you changed the plugin itself to set new defaults.
I can confirm on a per-blog basis it works.
