I note that wordpress.com offers the standard Kubrick theme with a header image uploader.
What are the chances of such a thing coming for the WPMu community, so our users can upload their new Kubrick header images.

huh.
Here I thought that was built-in to the Kubrick theme. I mean, I'm sure it *was* there... it's also missing from their theme repository.
Adding it shouldn't be too much of an issue to add it.
maybe they're using k2?
The header code is still in WPMU 2.6, been there for ages. I haven't swapped out Kubrick for a while, but themes with the header API built in still function as normal(alienates Safari users, though).
Add the code to any theme you like.

That's a negative. My site uses the most recent versions of WordPress mu Default 1.6 and WordPress mu Homepage 1.6. Boith offer the option to change back ground and title colors, but no option to upload images at Design .. Header Image and Color.
I've never fooled around with the api. I'll look into it.
dsader means the API code is still there.
I was totally sure Kubrick had that option and I had to go double check to see it gone.
