I would be interested in this as well!
Feel free to code it. :)
Have to admit though that it really sounds like what mu and one of the current social addons like buddypress or that one Andrea suggests already offers.
I thought they stopped development of elgg?
They just released version 1.0 a few days ago.
Considering blogs are already a part of elgg though....
Huh.
Yeah, I thought it was pretty much "competition" for WPMU. Like you'd use one OR the other.
work like this:
Example
home (ELGG v1.0):
profile (ELGG v1.0):
http://profiles.takingitglobal.org/stradivarius
blog (WORDPRESS MU):
http://lulukabrasil.tigblog.org/post/470669?setlangcookie=true
this is possible with the budypress?
What is the ETA on this project or when are you starting it?
We skipped using elgg for a reason. I had thought it was because it didn't handle subdomains but I may be mistaken. I don't have my notes handy.
Does this mean your back on the project?
elgg link
http://elgg.org/
Any update on this project?
gpo1, why do you keep asking and who are you asking? I don't see anyone here who has stated that they are doing this or willing to.
paid U $ 100.00 for a complete integration of ELGG v1.0 with WPMU 2.7
I think that we must install WPMU in the directory root. Example: " http://www.mysite.com"
E we must install elgg in sub-directory.
Example: " http://www.mysite.com/members/"
E you make the due linkings.
somebody could analyze the integration WPMU + JOOMLA:
http://hery.blaogy.org/2008/02/22/joomla-user-auth-for-wordpress-mu/
I know this is an old post. But yes. The combination of Wordpress and Elgg can be done. Well at least visually. I'm not sure about merging of databases and such. An example I'm working on now is GlobalMicaiah.org. The community link is where elgg is installed. @Sowers has the right idea and that's basically how I did it.
